Focusun Air Cooled Chiller dissipates heat from the condenser using air blown over it by fans, eliminating the need for a cooling tower. It features a compact design and is easy to install, making it ideal for areas with limited water resources or where cooling towers are not feasible.

Description

The FOCUSUN air-cooled chiller—also known as a box-type air-cooled industrial chiller—features a highly efficient air-cooled heat dissipation design. It uses built-in fans to draw in ambient air and expel heat through a condenser, effectively lowering the system’s temperature. This design eliminates the need for an external water cooling system, making it easy to install, operate, and maintain.

Ideal for environments where space is limited or water resources are insufficient, air-cooled chillers provide reliable cooling without complex infrastructure. However, since their performance is influenced by ambient temperature and humidity, they are best suited for applications with moderate cooling demands.

Each FOCUSUN air-cooled chiller is equipped with a full suite of safety features, including:
  • Motor overload protection
  • Phase loss and phase reversal alarms
  • Anti-freeze thermostat
  • Pressure gauges and temperature control systems

Thanks to durable components and intelligent system design, these units offer stable performance and extended service life. The system operates based on core heat exchange principles, ensuring precise temperature control within a range of 3°C to 50°C, making it an ideal solution for industries that require accurate chilled water management.

Working Principle
When the air-cooled chiller is activated, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the target medium inside the evaporator, causing it to vaporize. The vapor is then drawn in by the compressor and compressed into high-temperature, high-pressure gas.

This gas is passed through the air-cooled condenser, where it releases heat to the surrounding air and condenses into a liquid. The liquid refrigerant is then depressurized via an expansion valve and sent back to the evaporator, where it vaporizes again by absorbing heat. This closed-loop cycle continues until the circulating water reaches the desired chilled temperature.
